What Overseas Shoppers Search for on OneMall, Month by Month

Search data is being updated

We are refreshing this data right now. Please check back soon. The method we use is described below.

How we measure this

• Source: searches made on OneMall's international site and app, where overseas shoppers buy from Japanese stores. This is OneMall data only, not data for Japanese online shopping as a whole.
• Period: one calendar month (UTC). Each report is published after the month ends.
• Terms: search terms are compared in lowercase with surrounding spaces removed, so "Nintendo 3DS" and "nintendo 3ds" count as one term.
• Ranking: by the number of different users (devices or browsers, signed in or not) who searched for a term during the month.
• Listing threshold: a term is listed only when enough different users searched for it during the month. Growth is shown only for terms that met the threshold in both months.
• Removed terms: adult terms and anything that looks like personal information, such as email addresses, phone numbers, links or order numbers, are never listed.
• What is counted: Counts first-page searches only. Excludes searches with no traffic channel and traffic labeled as bots. If a device clicked a term in our on-site trending keywords during the month, all of that device's searches for that term are excluded, including ones it typed itself. Includes searches that came from on-site promotional placements and landing page links, which are not excluded.
