"Seize the 'Truth' (Ruby: Treasure)" —

The treasure-hunting battle mystery that decides the fate of the nation is about to begin———!

≪STORY≫

A warning letter from Phantom Thief Kid has arrived at the vault of the Onoe Zaibatsu in Hakodate, Hokkaido.

This time, Kid is targeting a Japanese sword associated with Toshizo Hijikata, the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi who lived during the Bakumatsu period.

Why is Kid, who usually chases Big Jewels, targeting a sword…?

Meanwhile, the Western Detective, Heiji Hattori, and the Detective Conan team have also visited Hakodate for a kendo tournament being held there.

On the day of the crime notice, Heiji brilliantly sees through Kid's disguise and corners him, but…!?

At the same time, a body with a cross-shaped scar on its chest is found in the Hakodate warehouse district.

Appearing on the investigative line is a Japanese-American man known as the “Merchant of Death,” who operates as an arms dealer throughout Asia.

He was searching for treasures said to be hidden somewhere in Hakodate by the first head of the Onoe family, who was deeply involved in the military industry during wartime.

There are rumors that this treasure is a powerful weapon capable of turning the tide of war, which was then heavily leaning toward Japan's defeat…

And it seems that the treasure and the sword targeted by Kid are somehow related. As Kid targets the sword, the shadow of a mysterious “swordsmen” closes in…

The treasure-hunting battle mystery that decides the fate of the nation is about to begin———!
