The best friend who returned was an unknown 'something'.
With cumulative sales of 4 million copies, this highly anticipated anime adaptation features the talk-of-the-town comic by eccentric artist Mokumoku Ren!
Yoshiki and Hikaru, same age as each other, grew up together from childhood in a certain village.
The scorching sun, the sound of bear cicadas clinging to our ears, ice cream eaten on the way home.
On a summer day just like any other, laughing over trivial matters.
"...You're not really Hikaru, are you?"
Half a year ago, Hikaru went missing in the mountains and returned unsteadily a week later.
A thing that looked like Hikaru, with the same voice and appearance, harbored something squirming within it—
"Hikaru is no longer here... If that's the case."
Daily life that seems 'no different from usual' begins alongside a 'something' wearing the guise of a friend.
However, at the same time, bizarre incidents begin to strike the village.
Falling into the unknown 'something'.
The curtain rises now on this youth horror story—
