"Dragon Ball cards" on a Japanese marketplace covers several unrelated products, and the first thing to establish is which one a listing belongs to. The Dragon Ball Super Card Game, Bandai's trading card game launched in 2017, is the game most overseas players mean by the name, but it was released only outside Japan; its 2024 format, Fusion World, is the first version sold in Japanese. Alongside it sits Super Dragon Ball Heroes, the arcade-machine card game whose cards fill Japanese secondhand card listings for the series and are not usable in the Super Card Game. Older still are Carddass cards, Bandai's vending-machine cards from 1988 onwards, which are collected rather than played. All three are listed under ドラゴンボール, so the game name after it is what tells them apart.
| Product | Japanese listing name | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon Ball Super Card Game | ドラゴンボールスーパーカードゲーム / DBS | Bandai's trading card game, launched 2017 outside Japan; not printed in Japanese |
| Fusion World | フュージョンワールド / FW | Second Super Card Game format, launched 2024; the first sold in Japanese |
| Super Dragon Ball Heroes | ドラゴンボールヒーローズ / SDBH | Arcade-machine card game; cards are dispensed by the cabinet |
| Carddass | カードダス | Vending-machine collector cards from 1988 onwards |
Only Fusion World, among the Super Card Game formats. The original Dragon Ball Super Card Game was never printed in Japanese, so the DBSCG cards listed on Japanese marketplaces are English-language cards imported or resold by Japanese collectors. Fusion World is published by Bandai in Japanese and in English with the same card layout, so its Japanese cards fit the same sleeves and, for casual play, the same decks; check Bandai's current tournament rules before using Japanese-language cards in a sanctioned event in your region. What Japan adds for Fusion World is the promo and premium layer: promo cards from Japanese tournaments and shop events, Japanese product bundles, and the alternate-art versions that Japanese sellers list as パラレル. Super Dragon Ball Heroes has no English edition at all, so its cards exist only through the Japanese secondhand market, which is why they appear so often in Dragon Ball card listings on Mercari and Yahoo Auctions.
Rarity terms depend on which game the card is from, and Japanese sellers use the abbreviations without spelling out the game. For the Super Card Game and Fusion World the codes are the printed rarity letters; for Super Dragon Ball Heroes the sellers use the arcade game's own rarity ladder. Both appear in titles as short codes.
Current Fusion World boosters are a retail purchase on Amazon Japan and Rakuten; original Super Card Game product reaches Japan only as English-language imports. Everything else, including every Super Dragon Ball Heroes card because they are only ever dispensed by arcade machines, is a secondhand purchase from Mercari, Yahoo Auctions and Suruga-ya. Heroes cards are common in listings and the most fragile: they are handled at the cabinet, so condition notes and photos matter more than they do for a sealed booster.
| Where | What you typically find |
|---|---|
| Amazon Japan, Rakuten | Current Fusion World booster boxes, starter decks, official sleeves |
| Mercari, Rakuma, Yahoo Fleamarket | Singles from all three games, Heroes cards in bulk, promos |
| Yahoo Auctions | Carddass sets, sealed older boxes, graded cards, large lots |
| Suruga-ya | Shop-graded singles, including Carddass and Heroes |
Read them as a description of a specific card, not a grade; the marketplace's own condition scale is the grade, and the seller's notes explain it. For Heroes cards and Carddass, both of which were handled outside sleeves, 傷あり and 擦れ are normal and the photo under angled light decides the purchase. For Super Card Game foils, 白かけ and 線傷 are the flaws to look for. Cards sleeved straight from the pack are listed as 開封後すぐスリーブ.
The item price in yen, OneMall's service fee and the seller's domestic shipping, if charged, are paid when you order; the international shipping is paid after the cards reach our Japan warehouse and you have picked a shipping method. Cards are light, so the total is driven by how many separate parcels you send rather than by what is in them: buy singles from many sellers, consolidate at the warehouse, and ship once. Sealed boxes and Carddass binders are the purchases where parcel size becomes a factor. Import duty, where your country charges it, is collected on delivery.

Use OneMall as your Japan proxy. We give you a Japanese address, pay the seller in yen, receive your Dragon Ball Super order at our warehouse in Japan, then forward it to the USA and worldwide — you do not need a Japanese address, phone number or payment method.
Japanese stores and marketplaces carry Japan-exclusive releases and limited editions that never reach overseas retail. Shopping the Japanese market directly is the only way to reach that inventory.
OneMall searches Japan's major marketplaces and stores in one place — including Mercari, Yahoo Auctions, Amazon Japan, Rakuten, Rakuma, Yahoo Fleamarket, Suruga-ya, Animate and ZOZOTOWN — so you can compare Dragon Ball Super listings across sites without opening a Japanese account on each one.
Yes. Items bought from different sellers are received at our warehouse in Japan and can be consolidated into a single parcel before international shipping, which lowers the per-item shipping cost.
OneMall does not guarantee authenticity. Brand items are bought on your behalf from Japanese stores and from sellers on Japanese marketplaces, and our purchase terms state that authenticity, quality and condition are not guaranteed, especially for used items. Read the listing photos and condition notes in full before ordering.
