The Japanese edition of the One Piece Card Game is the original: Bandai launched it in Japan in July 2022, the English edition followed in December 2022, and every booster set since has been released in Japanese months ahead of English. Buying from Japan is therefore how players outside Japan get the newest cards early and how collectors get the Japanese-language print of a card, which is a different collectible from its English version even when the art is the same. Japan also has promo cards from Japanese tournaments and shops, and Japanese-only products such as premium card collections. The card layout is identical between editions, so Japanese cards fit the same sleeves and, for casual play, the same decks; for sanctioned events check Bandai's current tournament rules on card language for your region.
Japanese sellers identify a card by its set code and rarity rather than by set name, so reading the code is the fastest way to know what a listing is. Booster sets carry OP codes, starter decks ST codes and extra boosters EB codes, and the rarity letter is printed on the card. Parallel-art versions, which Japanese listings call パラレル, are the chase cards in each set.
| Term | Japanese | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| OP-01, OP-02 … | ブースターパック | Numbered booster sets, starting with OP-01 ROMANCE DAWN |
| ST-01, ST-02 … | スタートデッキ | Starter decks, each built around one Leader |
| EB-01 … | エクストラブースター | Extra booster sets released between main sets |
| C / UC / R / SR / SEC | コモン〜シークレット | Common, uncommon, rare, super rare, secret rare |
| L | リーダー | Leader card, one per deck |
| パラレル | パラレル | Alternate-art foil version of a card, the premium pull |
| コミパラ | コミックパラレル | Comic-art parallel, the rarest printing in the sets that have one |
| プロモ | プロモ | Promo card from tournaments, shops or product bundles |
Because ワンピース, the Japanese spelling of One Piece, is also the everyday Japanese word for a one-piece dress, and the clothing listings outnumber the card listings on Mercari and Rakuma. Japanese players avoid the problem by writing ワンピカ, the abbreviation for ワンピースカード, or by adding カード to the search. The same ambiguity carries into machine translations of listing titles, where a dress becomes "One Piece" in English. When you search yourself, start with ワンピカ or ワンピースカード and add the character name in katakana, the set code or パラレル.
Current sealed product is retail and sits on Amazon Japan and Rakuten; older sealed boxes, parallels, promos and lots are on the consumer marketplaces. Because the game is young, most of the value in a collection is in parallels and promos rather than in age, and those are almost entirely a Mercari and Yahoo Auctions purchase. Suruga-ya carries singles with shop condition grades.
| Where | What you typically find |
|---|---|
| Amazon Japan, Rakuten | Current booster boxes, starter decks, official sleeves and playmats |
| Mercari, Rakuma, Yahoo Fleamarket | Singles, パラレル cards, promos, opened boxes, small lots |
| Yahoo Auctions | Out-of-print boxes, PSA-graded parallels, large lots |
| Suruga-ya | Shop-graded singles sorted by set code |
A One Piece listing states the marketplace condition grade and then the seller's own notes, and the notes matter more for foil cards because parallels show wear on the foil surface before they show it on the edges. Ask for a photo of the card front under angled light and of the back before paying for any パラレル. Cards pulled and immediately sleeved are described as 開封後すぐスリーブ, and that phrase is the closest Japanese equivalent to "pack fresh".
Two payments. The first, at order time, is the item price in yen plus OneMall's service fee, shown before you confirm, plus the seller's domestic shipping if the listing charges it. The second, after the cards reach our Japan warehouse, is the international shipping for the method you choose. Single cards and even a few booster boxes are light, so the strategy that saves the most is to buy from several sellers and consolidate into one shipment rather than to chase the cheapest individual listing. Import duty, if your country charges it, is paid on delivery.

Use OneMall as your Japan proxy. We give you a Japanese address, pay the seller in yen, receive your One Piece Card Game order at our warehouse in Japan, then forward it to the USA and worldwide — you do not need a Japanese address, phone number or payment method.
Japanese stores and marketplaces carry Japan-exclusive releases and limited editions that never reach overseas retail. Shopping the Japanese market directly is the only way to reach that inventory.
OneMall searches Japan's major marketplaces and stores in one place — including Mercari, Yahoo Auctions, Amazon Japan, Rakuten, Rakuma, Yahoo Fleamarket, Suruga-ya, Animate and ZOZOTOWN — so you can compare One Piece Card Game listings across sites without opening a Japanese account on each one.
Yes. Items bought from different sellers are received at our warehouse in Japan and can be consolidated into a single parcel before international shipping, which lowers the per-item shipping cost.
OneMall does not guarantee authenticity. Brand items are bought on your behalf from Japanese stores and from sellers on Japanese marketplaces, and our purchase terms state that authenticity, quality and condition are not guaranteed, especially for used items. Read the listing photos and condition notes in full before ordering.
