The difference is not only the language on the card. Yu-Gi-Oh! is the clearest case: Japan plays the OCG, a separate game from the TCG sold in English, with its own card pool, its own release schedule and its own banlist — a card legal in one is not automatically legal in the other. Pokémon, One Piece and Duel Masters all originate in Japan and see Japanese sets first, and several Japanese-exclusive products never receive an English release at all. Card size is the same across regions for each game — Pokémon, One Piece and Duel Masters use 63 x 88 mm, Yu-Gi-Oh! uses the smaller 59 x 86 mm — so Japanese cards fit the sleeves you already use for that game.
Decide this before searching, because the two markets behave differently. Singles are the efficient way to get a specific card and are the bulk of Japanese marketplace listings; sealed product is for opening or holding and carries very different shipping economics. Japanese listings label the difference clearly in the title.
| Japanese term | What it means | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| シングル / 単品 | Single card | Getting one specific card |
| 未開封BOX / シュリンク付き | Sealed box / shrink wrap intact | Opening or long-term holding |
| パック | Single booster pack | Small-scale opening |
| まとめ売り / 大量 | Bulk lot | Volume at low cost, mixed condition |
| プロモ / 限定 | Promo / limited distribution | Event, magazine and campaign exclusives |
Most Japanese singles are sold raw with condition written in the description rather than in a graded slab, so the description is what you are buying. Professional grading exists and appears as 鑑定品 (kanteihin) with a PSA or BGS label, but it is a minority of listings. These are the defect terms that recur most often.
The components are below. Singles are the lightest thing you can import from Japan: sleeved and in a rigid holder, a stack of cards adds almost nothing to a parcel, so international shipping is a small share of the total and consolidating purchases from several sellers is close to free. Sealed booster boxes invert that completely — they are dense, and a box or two can dominate the shipping cost. High-value singles and sealed cases can also cross your country's import threshold, so check local duty rules for the declared value before ordering.
| What you pay | When you pay it |
|---|---|
| Item price in yen | At order time |
| OneMall's service fee | At order time, shown before you confirm |
| Domestic shipping inside Japan, if the seller charges it | At order time |
| International shipping to your country | After the item reaches our Japan warehouse |
| Import duty or tax, if your country charges it | On delivery, paid to your carrier or customs |
Each game has a standard Japanese name and usually an abbreviation, and listing titles use those rather than the English name. Pair the game name with a condition or format word to narrow a search fastest.

Yes. Orders from different sellers arrive at our Japan warehouse separately and can be consolidated into one parcel before international shipping.
OneMall does not guarantee authenticity. OneMall is a proxy buying service, not the seller: both new and used items are bought on your behalf from third-party Japanese stores and marketplace sellers, and we forward what that seller ships. Read the listing photos and condition notes in full before ordering, especially for used items.
